MISSOURI — A new report from the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) shows indications of strong economic growth across the Missouri region.
KMZU’s Rocco Scarcello was able to chat with Brad Jones, Missouri Director for NFIB about the survey results recently. Click below to hear their conversation, which aired Wednesday on KMZU.
“The small business and economic trends survey is done every month, we have done it since like 1973,” Jones said. “It is really an index that takes a pulse of small business owners across the country.”
The survey is recognized by many financial institutions as a bellwether for the economy, including by the Federal Reserve Bank.
“Never in the history of this survey have we seen profit trends so high,” NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan said. “The optimism small businesses owners have about the economy is turning into new job creation, increased wages and benefits, and investment.”
